What information we collect
Contact form
When you fill in the contact form on this site, we collect the information you submit — your name, email address, optional subject, and message — so we can respond to your enquiry.
Finance Tracker account
To use the Finance Tracker, you must create an account. We collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash) for authentication. You may also optionally set a display name and preferred currency.
Financial data
When you use the Finance Tracker, you enter financial information such as income amounts, expense categories, budget items, savings goals, and transaction details. This data is tied to your account and used to calculate summaries, charts, and insights within the app.
AI Coach conversations
If you use the AI Coach feature, your messages and a summary of your financial data context are sent to our AI service provider (Lovable AI Gateway) to generate personalised responses. We do not use these conversations to train external AI models.
How we use your information

Data storage and security
Your data is stored using Lovable Cloud (a managed backend service) which provides database encryption at rest and encryption in transit over HTTPS. Authentication is handled via industry-standard secure sessions.
For your safety, we explicitly discourage entering sensitive payment information — such as full credit card numbers, bank account details, or government IDs — anywhere on this site, including the Finance Tracker. The Finance Tracker is designed to track balances and amounts only.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses minimal cookies and browser local storage that are strictly necessary for authentication and site functionality. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, and may be archived for record-keeping.
Finance Tracker account and financial data are retained while your account remains active. We store your data so you can access historical reports and year-over-year comparisons. You may request deletion of your account and associated financial data at any time.
Your data rights
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase it. To make a request, use the contact form.
Within the Finance Tracker, you can export your data directly via the Import / Export panel.
Children's privacy
The Finance Tracker and this site are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
