Nothing is Fixed

Everything, including our preferences, is prone to changes as we evolve. We could find ourselves disliking something we once liked or start preferring stuff we once swore to dislike. That’s normal, and it’s the same with picking or dropping new habits and skills.

This explains why a friend who often spoke down about suit-wearing years ago now wears a lot of it. It’s why even I who once hated math found myself at some point crunching numbers; leading financial reporting activities in an Insurance multinational and loving it.

Two key lessons here:
